Main purpose of the icebreaker is to provide navigation at a port in winter-time and the icebreaker support for the heavy-tonnage transport vessels during their maneuvering and mooring operetions under any even the heaviest ice conditions.

The vessel is meant for supplying of off-shore drilling platforms: carriage of drill mud, loose goods, methanol and general cargoes on open deck; participation in rescue and evacuating operations; fire control on off-shore drilling platforms.

It provides comfortable operation conditions for the crew and expedition personnel at the ambient temperature of down to -40 °C.

The trawler -seiner is equipped with RSW (refrigerated sea water) tanks to ensure storage and transportation of the catch. The vessel capable of bottom and pelagic trawling and purse seining ensures reliable preservation of the fish during transport to the shore-based advanced processing plants.

The vessel is designed for long-distance cruises from Moscow to Astrakhan, Moscow to Saint-Petersburg through the Ladoga and Onega lakes and Moscow to Rostov-on the-Don along the Volga-Don shipping canal as well as trips to the Black, Azov and Caspian Seas including port calls to Sochi, Yalta, Sevastopol and other Black Sea cities. The vessel boasts a sea-river navigation capability.

Submersible manned vehicle is designed for underwater technical works and rescue operations; delivery aground and lifting of equipment weighing up to 200 кg to the surface.

Deep submergence rescue vehicle (DSRV) of fourth generation is designed for rendering of assistance and rescue of crews of distressed submarines lying aground at depths up to 720 meters, and also for survey of underwater objects and performance of underwater technical works.
