Basalt Roving – Assembled basalt roving consists of several strands, drawn at the facility for the production of continuous basalt fiber and then assembled together, at assembling machines.
The multifilament yarns of assembled roving are made of basalt scrap.

Basalt Reinforcing Mesh – Consists of bound filaments of basalt fiber, by adding polymer matrix. Basalt fiber has high durability and low thermal conductivity, and it is resistant to aggressive environments. Due to these qualities, basalt reinforcing mesh is more often applied in the construction instead of the metallic one. It does not require a special storage and it is resistant to precipitations and temperature changes. Basalt reinforcing mesh also reduces the thickness of the asphalt coating.

Basalt Fiber/Chopped Strands - short extracts of basalt fiber, applied in the reinforcement of binding mixtures. Chopped strands are produced from roving, which is chopped at special choppers.
Basalt fiber is resistant to chemicals. In comparison with metallic fiber, basalt fiber is resistant to corrosion, it increases the ductility of concrete structures and eliminates micro cracks.

Basalt Yarn
Basalt yarn is manufactured by melting chopped basalt rocks in а furnace under the temperature of 15000C. The large amount of iron oxide in basalt rocks gives the stone typical dark color and increases the homogenization and the temperature of crystallization. Concerning the viscosity, basalt yarn is steeper than fiberglass yarn.
