NABAT Multifunctional Terminal

The multifunctional terminal-based high-efficiency workstations support real-time automation of processing diversified information received from different sources. The use of one device instead of several units saves time necessary for switching attention among different information sources. Such terminal can be used in systems with numerous, even geographically distributed, executive personnel and is specially designed for operation in decentralized environment.
The core of the terminal is a multifunctional computer with touch screen the case of which encloses high-quality voice devices, hardware buttons, a video camera and uninterrupted power supply unit. If simultaneous access to several information sources is required, the terminal can be supplied with two screens. The terminal uses Astra Linux operating system and special software developed by LOTES TM LLC.
The multifunctional terminal supports the following functions:
• access to corporate information systems, external resources and applications, work with documents,
• implementation of various audio and video services,
• message exchange (messenger),
• receiving information from sensors and control of actuating devices,
• playback of warning scenarios (automatic and manual).
The multifunctional terminal supports "roaming" mode enabling the user to work at any place. Access to personal interface is protected using a hardware key and password.
Multifunctional terminals can be used independently or as a part of the NABAT automation, notification, and communication platform (ANCP). In addition to variety of terminals, the complex includes switching equipment, uninterruptible power supply units, and monitoring and control terminal. The multifunctional terminal is capable to operate in IP networks without a center element thus providing high level of reliability. The SIP protocol is used for multimedia data exchange.
A distinctive feature of the multifunctional terminal is well thought-out design of the user interface, for example, with regard to generation of new information warning signals, their color and sound, duration, etc. The main concept of the terminal customized graphic interface consists in provision of highly efficient and user-friendly process of information gathering and control action transmission.
The terminal graphic interface supports:
• customized working windows and shortcut bars,
• programmed buttons arranged on working screens to enable terminal function execution in one click,
• flexible configuration of window size, fonts, colors, and layout of window elements,
• interface personalization by the user.
Integration of functionality for solving multiple tasks in one device enables significant increase of business productivity and the use in full of wide opportunities provided by advanced information and communication environment.
