OEO – is a media converter board, or a free-standing media converter, using the Optical-Electrical-Optical (optical to electrical and again to optical) conversion principle for regeneration, amplification, restoration of temporal characteristics of an optical signal, and change in operating wavelength. It has two slots for connecting optical transceivers.
