It is leno weave cotton gauze which has been impregnated with an ointment having petroleum jelly (soft paraffin) containing 0.5% w/w Chlorhexidine Acetate B.P. covered between two vegetable parchment papers and packed in a peel able pouch and Gamma irradiated to sterilize it.

Intended Use:

It is for use as topical treatment only. It is indicated for a wide range of wounds where there is a risk of infection, or on already infected wounds in conjuction with systemic antibacterials. The range of wounds on which the dressing may be used include;

Minor burns and scalds
Lacerations, abrasions and other skin loss wounds
Donor and recipients graft sites
Leg ulcers
