Description

The basic element of the plasma filter is a separating module - a multi-compartment assembly with alternating flat slotted chambers of blood and plasma, separated by a track-etched membrane. Blood and plasma chambers involve special separators (spacers), responsible for formation of blood and plasma flows in the chambers. Separating module is placed between the two polymer plates, which are welded with the inlet and outled collectors intended for blood supply and plasma removal accordingly.

PFM-500 is housed in a tough polymer case. A distinctive feature of the product, compared with plasma filter PFM-800, is a polymeric relief on the membrane surface instead of traditional mesh separator. Therefore, the PFM-500 has an optimized hemodynamics, significantly reduced contact of blood with foreign surface, and reduced trauma of blood cells, minor initial priming volume and increased plasma output.
