COMPLEX POLYFUNCTIONAL ADMIXTURE D-5 for concretes, mortars, dry building mixtures and cements
Highly effective multifunctional admixture D-5 is an innovative product that was developed in 2005 within the framework of the implementation of the State Programme of the Russian Federation for the support of small business development in the scientific and technical sphere (the State contract No. 3492r/5563, scientific director Mr. Bazoev O.K).
Since 2006 admixture D-5 has been produced on an industrial scale and is widely used in construction.

CONCRETE MAIN PROPERTIES WITH ADMIXTURE D-5
• HIGH WATER-RESISTANCE: Concretes with D-5 get the maximum possible water-resistance (up to 20 Bar and more), which allows completely exclude any additional waterproofing of concretes in water-saturated grounds of the aquatic environment or in water. High waterproofness of concretes with admixture D-5 is retained for the whole period of exploitation of the buildings. In damp rooms, plastered with D-5, the dampness and "fungus" (mold) disappear.
• HIGH SULFATE-RESISTANCE : Concretes with admixture D-5 get high sulfate resistance even when using ordinary Portland cement. This allows to exclude additional waterproofing of concrete during its operation in an aggressive environment, including sea water, oil and oil products.
• HIGH STRENGH: The use of admixture D-5 increases concrete strength at the age of 28 days by 30% -80% compared to concrete without admixtures (in pumpable mixtures), or allows to reduce cement consumption by 15-20%.
• ACCELERATION OF STRENGTH SETTING TIME: The normalized 100% concrete strength with admixture D-5 is achieved on the 3d-7th day of hardening under normal conditions, which allows to reduce the time of cast-in-place construction by at least 25-30% with simultaneous improvement of quality and durability of constructions; and in the production of precast reinforced concrete structures it is possible to exclude the process of heat and moisture treatment, replacing it with warming up under the conditions of a "thermos" at a temperature of 30-40 °C.
• HIGH FROST-RESISTANCE: The use of admixture D-5 increases the frost resistance of concretes by at least 2 brands and allows to get concretes with frost resistance of F400 and higher.
• PLASTICISIZING: Admixture D-5 increases the flowability of concrete mixes from slump 20 mm up to slump 220 mm, or reduces the water consumption by 15-25% in pumpable mixtures. When using the admixture D-5, there is no need for additional use of plasticizers.
• STABILIZING: Admixture D-5 gives to concrete mix a water-holding capacity, prevents stratification and improves pumping capacity. It increases the flowability of concrete mixtures up to 2 hours or more (with the initial flowability (slump 220-230 mm)).
• AIR-ENTRAPMENT : The admixture D-5 provides normalized air entrainment into the concrete mix within 3-4% on pure cements, and 4-6% on cement with a slag content up to 15%.
• SELF-HEALING OF THROUGH CRACKS up to 0.8 mm wide, which can appear in constructions during exploitation due to dynamic loads, including seismic ones. Under normal conditions, this property is manifested in the fact that "cold" joints in concretes with admixture D-5 do not flow even with long breaks in concreting.
• ECO-FRIENDLINESS: Admixture D-5 does not contain components dangerous to cement stone or reinforcements; it does not form toxic compounds in atmosphere or water. Admixture D-5 is approved for use in concrete and reinforced concrete structures in contact with drinking water.
