The TRUST-M scanner 3D models the surface of the entire human body and its individual segments in 3D, allowing you to detect even minor abnormalities. The assessment takes only a few minutes and does not require special patient preparation and a room.
The physician receives clear and objective information about the spine, posture, head position, shortening of limbs, asymmetry of shoulder blades and shoulders, and pelvis positioning. Reconstruction of the spine allows you to visualize its shape in three planes (frontal, sagittal, horizontal) and determine the spatial position of the vertebrae. Postural disorders, scoliosis, kyphosis, and lordosis are clearly demonstrated, with subsequent determination of their degrees and the Cobb angle. A spine assessment in three planes allows you to diagnose structural scoliosis when the spine is "twisting" around the vertical axis.
Topographic capabilities of the TRUST-M scanner 3D:
- diagnose postural disorders
- diagnose scoliosis
- assess physiological curvatures
- determine chest deformity
- assess shoulder blade symmetry
- determine muscular asymmetry
- diagnose twisted pelvic torsion
- determine spatial position of vertebrae
- monitor treatment effectiveness
- conduct an examination in functional poses
- monitor spine dynamics
- objectively assess data and save results in a database
The Trust-M body scanner creates a 3D model of the back with 3D spine reconstruction and visual imaging of the shoulder blades and pelvic bones. This allows the physician to obtain objective quantitative and qualitative information about a deviation of the body axis from the vertical, the position of the shoulder blades, twisting of the shoulder and pelvic girdles, misalignment of the pelvic bones, as well as about muscle imbalance. Conducting functional tests allows you to more effectively evaluate muscle asymmetries and estimate the optimality of the movement pattern. Data on the functions of the muscular system can be supplemented by recording the electromyogram. This capability is performed with the Trust-M biomechanical sensor, which is included in the equipment set. Various spinal deformities and musculoskeletal asymmetries lead to changes in the postural control system, including body imbalance. Using the Trust-M scanner 3D in combination with the Trust-M stabilometric platform allows for visual imaging of the center of mass on the 3D model of the patient, as well as complex diagnostics of the human postural control system. For more details, refer to the Trust-M Balance section.
All examination results are visualized on 3D models, records are simply and comprehensibly plotted, and a patient database allows treatment dynamics to be tracked.
Capabilities of the TRUST-M scanner 3D in combination with biomechanical sensors:
- dynamically carry out functional tests and examinations
- record biomechanics of movements (flexion, extension, rotation)
- determine the maximum angles of flexion and twisting of the spine
- EMG recording, muscle tone analysis, asymmetry mapping
- assess the properties of spine suspensions
Conducting a dynamic examination provides more complete information about the musculoskeletal system’s condition. This procedure is performed with the Trust-M scanner 3D and additional Trust-M biomechanical sensor. Movements in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine are recorded. All movements are recorded in three planes. By placing a sensor on the patient's head, it's possible to determine the degree of mobility of the cervical spine. Flexion, extension, right and left lateral flexion, and rotation are assessed. Simultaneous recording of muscle work of the back is possible, which is important for detecting asymmetries and estimating the distribution of the load on the spine. Another technique for examining the spine’s function is a study of properties of the spine suspensions. While walking, the Trust-M sensors record the magnitude of the accelerations at the level of the sacrum and upper regions of the spine, including the head region. The condition of the spine suspensions can be estimated by the amplitude of differences in acceleration, arising in the upper and lower spine regions.
