Description
Scopes:
- high-strength optical parts of the visible and near IR range, resistant to high temperatures, corrosive media, mechanical loads;
- substrates for hybrid microwave circuits;
- substrate for LEDs;
- substrates for integrated circuits of the “silicon on sapphire” structure;
- structural material for parts operating at high temperatures in aggressive environments.
To date, crystals with a weight of 65 kg are grown, allowing to obtain substrates with a diameter of 150 mm. Production of 300 kg of crystals is being prepared.
The material is supplied both in the form of grown crystals (boules), and in the form of plates, rods, cut out according to customer’s drawings. The crystalline orientation of the parts is agreed upon delivery. The surfaces of the parts can be either ground or polished to an optical quality (roughness Rz 0.05).
