Description
Main Features:
21 EEG channels.
Full set of PSG channels.
Recording of exams to memory card and real-time data transfer via Wi-Fi.
Ambulatory EEG and PSG recording (up to several days).
Long-term EEG monitoring to detect epileptiform activity.
Control of electrode impedance during the acquisition.
21 EEG Channels
Neuron-Spectrum-AM allows recording 21-channel EEG using the international 10-20 electrode system. Both electrode cap (the device is equipped with the special connector) and EEG electrodes can be used for the EEG acquisition. As far as the device is fully autonomous (battery-powered and data are saved to built-in memory card), a patient is free to move that is especially useful for the continuous EEG monitoring synchronized with video data.
Full Set of PSG Channels
Besides 21 EEG inputs Neuron-Spectrum-AM contains a full set of PSG inputs in compliance with AASM* recommendations. It has also a built-in pulse oximeter to estimate the oxygen saturation level (SpO2) during the sleep. The outputs at the side panel allow attaching the airflow sensor (thermistor and cannula), chest and abdominal effort sensor, snoring sensor, DC sensor and plugging in the electrodes to record EMG, ECG and EOG. The light sensor and body position sensor are built in the device. Neuron-Spectrum-AM can be used as the advanced portable PSG system.
Recording of Exams to Memory Card and Real-time Data Transfer via Wi-Fi
Neuron-Spectrum-AM can be used as a fully autonomous device. The display menu is intended to control all functions of the electronic unit, namely: wireless connection setup, exam recording start and stop, work with memory card. The built-in Wi-Fi module expands the device capabilities. It allows real-time data transfer from the device to any computer of the local network. At that the patient’s location does not impact the recorded data constantly controlled by a technician.
Ambulatory EEG and PSG Recording (up to Several Days)
The modern energy-saving technologies applied in Neuron-Spectrum-AM allow recording the exams lasting up to several days. Battery hot-swapping during the acquisition ensures performing such long-term exams. The memory card of 32 Gb stores more than 30-day continuous recording.
Long-term EEG Monitoring to Detect Epileptiform Activity
The compact size, the fixation on patient’s body, ambulatory use, complete autonomy made the device ideal for long-term video EEG monitoring intended to detect the epileptiform activity.
Clinical EEG recorders limit the patients’ freedom of movement. Besides, a patient should stay at a hospital. Neuron-Spectrum-AM does not have such restrictions. With this device the epileptiform activity event detection is done quicker and more efficient. At that a patient stays in the home environment.
Control of Electrode Impedance During the Acquisition
The quality of obtained signal depends directly on the electrode placement quality. Neuron-Spectrum-AM device allows measuring the impedance both before the acquisition start and directly during the acquisition itself. Such option allows repositioning the electrodes if the electrode placement quality is not satisfactory. The impedance measurement results are saved with the exam data. Using this info during the review and analysis a specialist can always estimate the reliability of obtained results. Such option is especially important for the long-term EEG monitoring.
