The buoy is used in a kit with a life buoy and consists of a fiberglass body with a float and a compartment in which the water-filled galvanic cell is located.

In the case there is a pyrotechnic checker, two electric bulbs are mounted on the buoy float. The buoy is activated automatically when it enters the water due to the activation of the water-filled galvanic cell.
