Description
The embedded data acquisition and processing module (VMD) is a functionally complete computing system implemented in the construct of the Euromechanics 6U standard. The module includes from 2 to 6 calculators and a wide range of external standard interfaces.
DESCRIPTION
Each computer incorporates a digital signal processing processor (DSP), permanent and random access memory of variable configuration, direct memory access, two serial ports, built-in timers and a system bus controller.
The following interfaces are implemented in various modifications of the embedded modules:
intermodular parallel interface (MPI) in accordance with GOST267565.51-86;
serial phase-shifted interface GOST26765.52-87;
serial bipolar interface in accordance with GOST18977-87;
interface of one-time commands in accordance with GOST18977-87;
VME parallel trunk - bus;
RS-422 serial interface;
AMD system parallel bus;
USB 2.0 .;
byte link channels.
The use of AMD is especially effective in control systems operating in real time, where minimum weights, dimensions, power consumption and low cost are required.
Using the DSP processor allows AMD to solve a wide range of problems in many areas of special and general equipment:
communication - transmission of discrete information over switched and non-switched channels of RF communication systems of the Russian Federation, control of communication channels with automatic frequency reconfiguration, navigation;
radiolocation - calculation of phase distribution codes of a phased array antenna (PAR), phase shifter switching control;
power plants - control of engine operation modes;
medicine - cardiography, monitoring the patient's condition;
Automation of gas stations.
There is a wide range of tools for creating and testing software: assembler, C compiler, archiver, link editor, special function libraries.
The modular open architecture based on AMD serves as the basis for constructing various configurations of computer systems of the required performance and reliability. The unification of hardware allows you to interact with other systems on standard buses, flexibly redistribute the functions of failed subsystems due to the same elements of another subsystem, which significantly increases reliability, improves maintainability of the system and simplifies maintenance
