Works on full replacement of concrete elements of engineering constructions of different function (channels, sluices, pipelines, dams, piers, quays, etc.) are rather labor-consuming and also expensive. However in many cases when concrete constructions require replacement, the considerable part of concrete constructions can be restored by cheaper methods. For this purpose it is necessary to remove a dilapidated surface layer of concrete (as a rule, in some centimeters in the thickness) to carry out a "sterilization" of a surface and to restore a concrete layer and/or to cover a concrete surface with a polymeric cover

The offered technology includes two base technologies:
(i) electric pulse shock-wave (SW) cleaning and sterilization of a concrete surface layer;
(ii) creation of a protective layer with use of high-strength and durable polymeric coverings.
The essence of the electric pulse shock-wave technology consists of applying of the SW pulse disturbance initiated by the high-voltage electric discharge on a border of solid and liquid (solid and air) surfaces to a surface of an object. The energy released at such discharges is sufficient for cleaning of the worn out layer of a concrete surface and its effective sterilization by discharge plasma and intensive SW. Development of high-strength and durable polymeric coverings and technology of their deposition for protective layer creation on a concrete surface.
The essence and advantages of polymeric technology for constructions protection and the materials, widely applied in power, shipbuilding, in building and industry does not require the detailed description. Specialized polymeric structures with reference to the project purposes will be developed and tested during the project. The technology of deposition of protective polymeric coatings will be developed and tested. The equipment for deposition of a coating with demonstration of their working ability on a pilot section of a real construction already developed, made and tested
