In 1990 the special labware has been developed for carrying out of experiments at low levels of pressure in a shock wave. Investigations have shown that the method of low-energy SW stimulations of live ability of bodies and tissues by pulses of a microsecond range makes active metabolic processes in tissues and provides considerable acceleration of tissues regeneration processes.
The SW method of stimulation of metabolic processes in tissues was patented in Russia (pat.№ 2076641 from 16.12.1992). In 1993-1999 this method has been approved on patients. The result was positive.
Today it is considered that "stimulation" direction of SW therapy can be effective at treatment of variety of diseases, in particular, at treatment of local factors of a periodontosis, a prostatitis, accelerations of healing of the wounds some cardiac diseases etc. Now in the world new directions in SW-technology of treatment of cardiological diseases and a critical ischemia of the lower extremities are under development. Such technology is actively developing in the USA and Israel (for example, firm "Medispec" system "Cardiospec", USA, used for SW therapies of ischemic heart disease).
Now in MRTI R&D works on development of the equipment for realization of stimulation SW technologies are carried out. As the base for creation of the given kind of technique was chosen the serial device "Medolit" that will considerably accelerate all kinds development of medical technique in this direction. Possibility of usage of SW beams with stimulation parameters in this device design already exist. In perspective, the application of this technology allows eliminate drugs usage or sharply reduce "pharmacological support" in some diseases cure
