Tests of the experimental M75RU gas turbine engine, which became the first Russian ship gas turbine engine, were launched in 2003. The act of the State Commission for Acceptance of the M75RU gas turbine engine with a maximum power of 7000 hp signed on November 25, 2006. A family of engines for the Russian Navy, the Border Guard Service and civilian vessels will be created on the basis of the M75RU.
