The system provides inspection of cargo, transported in cars, buses or freight vehicles (regardless of location of prohibited enclosures and stocking density of cargo). A distinctive feature of ST-2630L is its principally new functional abilities to determine physical structure of transported cargo that considerably facilitates operator’s work and increases effectiveness of inspection.

Klystron-based electron linear accelerator with duplet energy modulation as well as an innovative method of duplet pulse detection and special algorithms of scanned data processing provides reliable discrimination of at least 4 groups of materials by their atomic numbers and weight evaluation.

Technological equipment of ST-2630L is located in a light construction of sandwich panels, its radiation safety is provided by optimization of radiation-physical parameters of bremsstrahlung source and by concrete shielding protective wall.
