Founded on November 7, 1943.
JSC «Serpukhov Plant «Metallist» is engaged in tool creation, while being specialized in gyromotors and various precise electromechanical sensors and devices production. The company’s products were equipped with products for large-caliber sniper rifle, Strategic Rocket Forces, Strategic Missile Forces, air defense, Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, navy, Main Agency of Automobiles and Tanks of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Roscosmos.

Currently, the main plant’s activities are:

• products delivery on the State Defense Order;
• gyroscopic tools and precision mechanics development and production;
• low-power electric machines and electric motors development and production for various purposes;
• cylinder-piston groups production;
• heat generation;
• non-standard equipment and control panels production, according to customer’s drawings.

«Metalist» plant has been taking part in the following programs and projects: «Energy-Buran», «Mir», «Morskoy start», ISS, Roskosmos. The enterprise is included in «Development of the defense-industrial complex of the Russian Federation for 2011-2020» Federal Target Program. High products quality, which is provided by a certified quality management system, which meets GOST ISO 9001-2011 requirements, is one of the distinguishing «Metalist» Serpukhov Plant JSC features. The products are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of regulations 88, 98 and for the Industrial and Commercial Company. Work of 368 VP of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, accredited at the enterprise, gives a chance to maintain a high product quality level in many respects. The plant is the leading low-power electric machines Russian manufacturer. The company is included in the Federal Target Program «Development of the Defense Industry Complex of the Russian Federation for 2011–2020», which will enable it to become the leading laser gyroscopes, quartz accelerometers and navigation systems manufacturer, based on the current sensors in Russian Federation.
