Chelyabinsk Radio Plant “Polet” has been established in 1952 as the major manufacturing enterprise to supply ground air traffic control equipment for civil aviation and Ministry of Defense. Chelyabinsk Radio Plant “Polet”, the first in the country, started production of marker beacons, automatic direction finders, short-range navigation systems, instrumental landing systems, and airdrome surveillance radars. Nowadays “Chelyabinsk Radio Plant “Polet” is one of the leading companies in Russia manufacturing radio navigation and radar equipment for air traffic control (ATC), digital communication systems and integrated radar and optical surveillance systems. Equipment manufactured by “Polet” is operated at the most airdromes in Russia and also has been supplied to more than 30 countries worldwide. JSC “Chelyabinsk Radio Plant “Polet” is governed by Joint-Stock Company “United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation” (part of Rostec Corporation) since April 2014.

The company is a part of JSC “Radio Engineering Corporation “Vega” within the holding company JSC “Roselectronics” of the State Corporation “Rostec”
