«Ruselectronics» JSC of Rostec State Corporation will install a portal-type inspection and examination complex at the checkpoint of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Myanmar. The new equipment will allow inspecting up to 120 cars and freight containers per hour.
Portal-type IEC (inspection and examination complex) is a new modification in the line of stationary inspection and examinations systems of «Ruselectronics». During the inspection, the vehicle moves around under the scanning frame.
“This is the first delivery of a new type of «Ruselectronics» inspection and examination complex and the first contract to equip checkpoints in Southeast Asia with Russian inspection equipment. The use of the IEC minimizes human participation and allows you to speed up the inspection of goods. The system remotely detects prohibited goods without opening containers. The completion of the contract is scheduled for the second quarter of 2021”, said Sergey Sakhnenko, Industrial Engineering Director of the REC (radio-electronic cluster) of Rostec State Corporation.
Due to the linear electron accelerator, «Ruselectronics» inspection and examination complex can detect undeclared goods and goods prohibited for transportation: weapons, ammunition, explosives and narcotic substances. IEC “see” the contents of the container or car body even through steel up to 350 mm thick. The software of the complexes recognizes four groups of materials - organic, inorganic, heavy and light metals, and can also estimate the weight of both the entire cargo and its certain parts with an error of up to 10%.
Inspection and examination complexes are created by Scantronic Systems and «Toriy» Research and Production Enterprise, which are part of «Ruselectronics», with the participation of the Laboratory of electron accelerators of MSU (Moscow State University). In addition to the portal-type IEC, mobile and stationary complexes are being produced for screening cars and trucks, as well as for monitoring trains.
