The Center was founded in December 2017 on the initiative of the Russian-Singapore Business Council with the support of the State Corporation “Rostec”. Due to the fact that it has the status of a technopark resident and is established on the basis of a Singapore company, the Center has the opportunity to use all the infrastructure provided by the Singapore authorities to support high-tech projects.
At the exhibition the products and technologies of about 20 Russian holdings and individual enterprises of a wide range of activities was presented: from composite materials to optics and laser technology, from engineering projects to scaling systems for the detection and treatment of cancer.
The exhibition will last until September 21. Then a part of the exposition will be presented in the format of a permanent show room, and in November 2018 a larger exhibition of Russian High-Tech technologies will take place, which will be timed to coincide with the start of the East Asian Summit.
The exhibition was opened by high guests from Russia and Singapore. The opening ceremony was briefed by the Chairman of the Russian-Singapore Business Council, Deputy CEO of the State Corporation "Rostec" Nikolai Volobuev, who leads the business mission of Russian companies to Singapore, which is taking place these days. In particular, he noted that "Singapore is Russia's main foreign economic partner in Southeast Asia, and it is important to develop trade and economic cooperation not only in the area of raw materials supply and initial processing of materials, but also in the areas of high technology and services. Moreover, both Russia and Singapore can be considered in these issues as leaders in their regions - the EEU and ASEAN, respectively. The exhibition is only one of the tools for expanding cooperation. But the tool is important and well-timed. "
